Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TitlePawn.org (“we,” “our,” or “the site”) is an independent consumer-information website covering title pawns and title loans in the United States. We are not a lender or a broker. This Privacy Policy explains what information we and our service providers collect when you visit titlepawn.org, how that information is used, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you actively send us

If you email us at contact@titlepawn.org, we receive whatever you put in that email: typically your email address, the content of your message, and any attachments. We don’t require you to send personal financial details to ask a question.

2.2 Information collected automatically when you visit

Like most websites, the site automatically collects technical information when you load a page. That includes your IP address (which approximates your city/region), browser type and version, operating system, the page you arrived from, the page you’re viewing, the time of your visit, and similar request metadata. Some of this is logged by our hosting provider and some is collected by analytics and advertising services described below.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not run lender-application forms. We do not ask for your name, phone number, social security number, vehicle title, loan account number, or other lender-specific identifiers as a condition of using the site. If a page on our site appears to ask for any of those things, please email us — that would be a bug.

3. How we use the information

We use the limited information we collect to:

  • Operate and secure the website.
  • Understand how visitors find and use the site so we can improve it.
  • Reply to email inquiries.
  • Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We do, however, allow third-party vendors (described below) to set cookies and process certain identifiers for analytics and advertising. Under some US state privacy laws, that processing can be classified as “sharing” or “selling” even though no money changes hands — see Section 7 for how to opt out.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) for essential functionality, analytics, and advertising. The categories in use are described in detail in our Cookie Policy. You can control cookies through your browser settings; see Section 7 for details.

5. Third-party services we use

5.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (account ID G-V3P7TJBBHF) to understand aggregate traffic patterns. Google Analytics receives technical request information such as IP address (typically truncated for analytics use), user-agent string, page paths, and event timestamps. We do not pass personally identifying information into Google Analytics. Google’s practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

5.2 Google AdSense and ad personalization

The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense and may participate in third-party ad-network programs through Google’s ad systems. Google and its partners use cookies and identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet, and may use that information for ad measurement and reporting.

You can learn more, and opt out of personalized advertising by Google, at Google’s Advertising Technologies and Principles and Google Ad Settings. You can opt out of personalized advertising from many participating ad networks at aboutads.info/choices (US) and youronlinechoices.com (EU).

5.3 Hosting and operational vendors

The site is served by a third-party static-site hosting provider, which receives request logs as a routine part of serving pages. Logs are retained for a limited period for operational and security purposes.

6. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK readers)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing personal data are: (a) our legitimate interest in operating, securing, and improving the site, for general analytics and request logging; (b) your consent, for non-essential cookies including advertising cookies, where required by local law; and (c) compliance with legal obligations, where applicable.

7. Your privacy choices

7.1 Cookie controls

You can refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may change how some pages render but will not block access to the site’s content. Mobile-app browser controls vary; see your device documentation.

7.2 Ad personalization opt-out

Use Google Ad Settings for Google personalization, and aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com for industry-wide opt-outs. Many browsers also support a “Global Privacy Control” signal which we honour where applicable.

7.3 California (CCPA/CPRA), Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and similar state laws

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to (a) request access to the personal information we hold about you, (b) request that we delete it, (c) request that we correct inaccuracies, and (d) opt out of certain types of advertising-related sharing. To exercise these rights, email contact@titlepawn.org with the subject line “Privacy request — [your state]”. We may need to verify the request before acting on it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

7.4 GDPR rights (EU/UK)

If you are in the EU or UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability under the GDPR/UK GDPR. To exercise these rights, email contact@titlepawn.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

8. Data retention

We retain email correspondence for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any reasonable follow-up, then archive or delete it. Server access logs are retained for a limited operational and security period (typically a few months). Analytics data is retained per the defaults of the analytics provider; for Google Analytics, see Google’s data-retention controls.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information collected. No internet transmission or electronic storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s privacy

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please email contact@titlepawn.org so we can delete it.

11. Links to other sites

The site contains links to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites. Read the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last reviewed on” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site for a reasonable period.

13. How to contact us about privacy

For privacy questions or to exercise the rights described in Section 7, email contact@titlepawn.org with “Privacy” in the subject line. The applicable jurisdiction for this Policy is the jurisdiction identified in our Terms of Use ([Jurisdiction]).
